World’s Best Vineyards: Top 50

We are the only Austrian estate to earn a spot in the top 50 of the World’s Best Vineyards Awards 2024. As well as the quality of the wines, the overall performance, international recognition, brand strength and wine tourism activities of an estate are also judged. We are thrilled and honored to be considered among the best estates in the world.

The process of evaluating and ranking the “Best Vineyards” involved 500 jurors from around the world, including journalists, wine critics, tourism experts, and wine aficionados. The evaluators were instructed to nominate the type of estate you’d recommend to your best friends for a visit.

The quality of the wine certainly played a decisive role in the rankings, which feature big names like Château d‘Yquem, Château Smith Haut Lafitte, Quinta do Noval, and Henschke. Yet other aspects of an estate’s presentation matter too, including its tourism offerings, the expertise of its staff, and its image and atmosphere – in short, everything that makes visiting a given estate such a magical experience.
